Liked it so well I bought a 2nd one! : Waterpik Linea 6-Mode Handheld Shower, White/Chrome #NVL-651C
So there I was: Shampoo on my hair, shower head dangling while it lightly sprayed my ankles. I rarely left the shower head hanging, but I thought it couldn't hurt once in a while. Suddenly there was a bit of water spraying from around the area where the hose connects to the pipe. I leaned in closer, closer, closer, and SCREAMED as I was sprayed full force in the face by a jet of hot water! A month of use, and the damn thing broke. The plastic screw on the hose snapped in half. The lesson to be learned from my goofball follies is to always hang your handheld shower head, especially the heavier ones.
I enjoyed it, though. I have to shower sitting down, so a product of this type is essential for those of us with strength/dexterity issues. It was comfortable in my hands, though I may consider a handle with grips for its replacement. The various pressures modes were enjoyable. I dedicated one to hair rinsing, another for back massaging, and the water saving mode seemed most comfortable for plain old washing. The three other modes were either far too strong for my sensitive muscles or too light to be anything other than annoying. I guess the light one might be good for washing babies or delicate clothing.
I purchased this in a brick and mortar store for $26 or so, because I needed the product immediately. The all stainless head was several dollars more, but I have a feeling it wouldn't have collapsed after so short a time. I will be checking to see if those connections are all metal, or instead buying a cheap, lightweight, no frills sprayer.
Happy shopping!
EDIT: I went to a hardware store shortly after this silly shower adventure, and bought a new connector. I don't know what those things are properly called. The new one is far sturdier than the flimsy screw-on that came with this shower head. I've been able to use the shower head with the new connector without problems since then. Thank goodness!
